- Planning and Zoning Good afternoon. Our names are Geoffrey and Barbara Gould, www.primenet.com/~macaws (note: changed to www.parrotpro.com) in Point Arena. Our address is 22510 Windy Hollow Drive, where we have a 17acre+ farm property, zoned AG. As per your request, here is a partial list of our current breeding stock.,at our breeding and research facilities. Approximately 150 pairs of large psittacines, a partial list as follows: Ara Ararauna Ara Chloroptera Amazonia Farinosa Farinosa Ara Ambigua Amazonia Viridigenelis Ara A. Guayalquensis Amazonia AmazonicaAmazonicaAra Macao Mexicana Amazonica Autumnalis Ara Macao (Nicaraguan type) Amazonica Xanthopteryx Ara Macao Boliviana Cockatua Galerita Elanora Ara Militaria Mexicana Ara Militaria Boliviana Ara Rubrogenys Anodorhynchus Hyacinthus Ara Severa Aratinga Jendaya Aratinga Solstiteris. The ostriches are a mixed cross between red and blue, the sheep are Merino type, bred for their fine wool. Mixed with the sheep will be a few Nubian goats. The row crops will consist of cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, potatoes , peas, peppers, corn, squash , onions , melons, artichokes; and wild blackberries and blueberries and raspberries and boysenberries, rhubarb, etcetera., all organically grown. The orchard will consist of 3 or 4 varieties of apples, nectarines, cherries and possibly peaches and plums depending on the Agricultural Extension Agent's opinion as to the viability of each type. The farm itself, in it's entirety, is a closed facility. It is not open to the public at large. No sales are to be generated on the property. Our egg production sales from the parrots have been sold years in advance, and unfortunately we do not make enough stock for any new clients. The organic vegetables and fruits are to be distributed through the local farmer's markets systems, not a ' U-Pick" operation. As we discussed, now that you have an overview and have checked our non-profit group's website, (which if you can't open it with the address, search for Parrot Preservation Society, a Non Profit Arizona Corporation on any big search engine or call me at 707-882-2620 or over at the Arizona farm 480-585-4701 for any additional information you might require) let us know what paperwork you require for the use permits, as well as for the employee housing. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today, looking forward to meeting you soon, your new friends, Geoffrey and Barbara Gould, |
